Banten Manpower Office opens second wave of job training with 12 vocational fields

The Manpower and Transmigration Office (Disnakertrans) of Banten Province is holding the second wave of job training for 2026, funded by the Banten regional budget (APBD), covering 12 vocational fields. The quota for the second wave of 2026 is 192 participants with 12 prepared vocational fields, said Head of Disnakertrans Banten Province Septo Kalnadi in Serang on Monday. According to Septo, participant registration will be conducted online from 24 July to 2 August 2026. The theory test and interview will then be held on 3 and 4 August 2026 at the Hall of the Disnakertrans Banten Job Training Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD). We invite the people of Banten who can meet the requirements to join this training together to improve competence and human resources in Banten, Septo added. He noted that around 70 per cent of previous graduates from the Disnakertrans Banten Job Training UPTD have been absorbed by businesses or industries in Banten. Seventy per cent of graduates directly work in the manufacturing industry. Other graduates have become entrepreneurs or work outside the region, Septo explained. Septo stated that Disnakertrans Banten Province, through the Job Training UPTD, prepares skilled human resources to enter the workforce through job training programmes. With skilled human resources tailored to the needs of the job market, it will be easier for job seekers, especially those of productive age, to be accepted by businesses or industries, or even to become entrepreneurs, he said. He mentioned that in 2026, Disnakertrans Banten has opened a training quota at the Vocational Training Centre (BLK) with various competency training for around 600 people under the provincial budget programme. This figure does not yet include programmes from district/city levels or the central government. For funding sourced from the state budget (APBN), the previous quota was 64 people, Septo said. Meanwhile, Head of the Job Training UPTD M. Bayuni of Disnakertrans Banten said that in the previous year, training took place in three batches or three waves, with 200 people in each wave. There were 13 vocational fields selected for the training at that time, Bayuni said.
