Through this training, it is expected that participants can increase their competence, productivity, and possess better competitiveness in facing the world of work.
Serang (ANTARA) - A total of 192 participants are taking part in the vocational training programme organised by the Banten Provincial Manpower and Transmigration Office (Disnakertrans), in an effort to enhance skills and competence across several training programmes.
“Through this training, it is hoped that participants can increase their competence, productivity, and possess better competitiveness in facing the world of work,” said the Head of the Banten Provincial Disnakertrans, Septo Kalnadi, while opening the training at the Disnakertrans Banten Vocational Training UPTD Office in Tangerang on Wednesday.
According to Septo, the job training is an effort and step taken by Disnakertrans Banten as part of the endeavour to prepare human resources (SDM) possessing the competence and skills required for prospective workers.
The opening ceremony proceeded smoothly and was attended by all training participants. Through this training, it is expected that participants can increase their competence, productivity, and possess better competitiveness in facing the world of work.
“Through this training, with the respective expertise they possess, participants will be ready to face the world of work,” said Septo.
He stated that Disnakertrans Banten, through the Vocational Training UPTD, aims to prepare skilled human resources to enter the workforce through these job training programmes.
“They will be trained for approximately 25 days by professional and reliable mentors. Therefore, we request that participants take this training seriously,” he added.
For this first wave of 2026 training, the programme commenced on 1 July with a variety of training modules.
According to Septo, with skilled human resources tailored to the needs of the labour market, it will be easier for job seekers, especially those of productive age, to be accepted into businesses or industries, or even to pursue entrepreneurship.
“This first wave is funded by the Banten Regional Budget (APBD),” said Septo.
He noted that in 2026, Disnakertrans Banten is opening training quotas at the Vocational Training Centre (BLK) for various competency programmes for approximately 600 people, with budgets sourced from the Banten Provincial Budget. This figure does not include programmes from regencies, cities, or the central government.
According to Septo, in the previous year, Disnakertrans Banten organised training in three batches or waves, with each wave consisting of 200 people.
“There are 13 vocational specialisations that can be chosen in this training,” Septo added.
The Head of the Disnakertrans Banten Vocational Training UPTD, Mohamad Bayuni, added that several training programmes are being implemented in the first stage of 2026, including GMAW welder training, SMAW welder training, Japanese language training, skin beauty training, sewing operations, and advanced office ICT operator programmes.
“Alhamdulillah, today’s opening went smoothly and was attended by all training participants,” said Bayuni.
