Banten Governor Urges Students to Leverage Free School Programme to Achieve Their Dreams

Serang (ANTARA) - Banten Governor Andra Soni has urged students to make the most of the Free School Programme by studying seriously in order to achieve their ambitions.

“Your responsibility is to study well to reach your goals, so make the best possible use of this free school programme,” Andra said in a statement issued in Serang on Monday.

Andra also emphasised the importance of character building during one’s school years. According to him, true success in the future is determined not only by high academic grades, but must also be matched by noble attitudes and morals.

“Respect your teachers and care for your friends,” he said whilst interacting directly with students at SMK Nurul Huda Baros in Serang Regency on Monday.

“Through the Free School Programme, the Banten Provincial Government continues its efforts to widen learning opportunities so that education is evenly accessible to all children across Banten,” he said.

Through the integration of expanded access, improved teaching quality and strong motivation, the Banten Provincial Government is optimistic that the region’s Human Development Index (HDI) can continue to rise significantly and sustainably.

Meanwhile, the smooth running of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme also continues to be monitored, in the hope that good nutritional intake will support physical health and improve students’ concentration during teaching and learning activities.
