Banten Governor Urges Students to Leverage Free School Programme to Achieve Their Dreams

Serang (ANTARA) - Banten Governor Andra Soni has urged students to take full advantage of the Free School Programme to pursue their ambitions. “The government’s responsibility is to provide free schools, and your responsibility is to study well to achieve your dreams,” Andra said during a direct interaction with students at SMK Nurul Huda Baros in Serang Regency on Monday. He stressed the importance of character building during the education process, adding that future success is not solely determined by academic grades but must be balanced with good attitudes and noble character. “Respect your teachers and love your friends,” he advised. Through the Free School Programme, the Banten Provincial Government continues to strive to expand learning opportunities so that education is equitable for all children in the Banten region. By integrating expanded access, improved teaching quality, and strong motivation, the provincial government is optimistic that the quality of the Human Development Index (IPM) in the region can continue to increase significantly and sustainably. Meanwhile, the smooth implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Programme (MBG) is also being closely monitored, with the hope that good nutritional intake can support physical health and improve student concentration during the teaching and learning process.
