Banten Governor Committed to Strengthening Human Resource Competency for Local Workforce

Serang (ANTARA) - Banten Governor Andra Soni has expressed his commitment to strengthening the human resources of prospective workers to ensure they are skilled, competent, and superior in alignment with industrial requirements.

One of the efforts being undertaken is through vocational training, which serves as a bridge connecting the needs of the industrial world with the potential and competence of the workforce.

“Therefore, vocational training holds a very strategic position. Vocational training acts as a bridge that brings together the needs of the industrial world with the potential and competence of the workforce,” stated Governor Andra Soni in an official statement received by the media in Serang on Wednesday.

The Kick-Off of the 4th Batch of National Vocational Training at the Serang Great Vocational Training and Productivity Centre (BBPVP) in Serang City, held on Tuesday (1/9), was also attended by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, and the Minister of Manpower, Yassierli.

Andra Soni stated that through vocational training, it is expected that more workers will obtain competency certificates, possess readiness to enter the workforce, increase productivity, and create business opportunities, which will ultimately impact regional economic growth.

“The existence of the Serang Great Vocational Training and Productivity Centre is a vital part of building an ecosystem for developing competent and competitive human resources,” he said.

Andra Soni expressed his appreciation for the central government’s attention and support towards labour development in Banten Province.

“This also serves as a momentum to strengthen synergy and collaboration between the central and regional governments in preparing human resources that are competent, productive, adaptive, and competitive,” he added.
