The first kloter of Banten Hajj pilgrims will return to Indonesia on Tuesday, 2 June at 9:45 AM WIB at Terminal 2F of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang. 390 pilgrims will depart from King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah on Monday evening (1 June) Saudi Arabia Time (SAST) aboard Garuda Indonesia. “The first Banten kloter, originating from Tangerang City, will arrive at Soekarno-Hatta Airport on Tuesday morning. We have prepared the arrival procedures, so they will be directly transported to Cipondoh Hajj Asrama,” said Nasrul Latif, Head of the Administrative Section of the Banten Hajj Ministry Regional Office, on Monday (1 June). According to Nasrul, the initial departure of the first Banten kloter consisted of 393 prospective pilgrims. However, Nasrul stated that 390 pilgrims are returning, with three having passed away. “Three pilgrims have died: two before departure and one in Saudi Arabia. Therefore, 390 people are returning, comprising 386 pilgrims and four officials,” Nasrul said. Arul explained that the pilgrims will be picked up from the airport and taken to the Hajj Asrama for a ceremonial reception by Banten Governor Andra Soni. The pilgrims will then rest at Cipondoh Hajj Asrama before being sent to their hometowns. “At the Hajj Asrama, pilgrims will only collect Zamzam water. There will be no family welcome at the asrama,” Arul said. According to the 2026 Hajj Travel Plan (RPH), the second wave of pilgrims will begin repatriation from Jeddah and Medina between 2 and 29 June 2026.
