Banten Customs Supports IndoBuildTech 2026 Through Bonded Exhibition Facility
The Banten Regional Customs Office (Kanwil) is supporting the staging of the Indonesia Building Technology (IndoBuildTech) Expo 2026 by granting the Bonded Exhibition Venue (TPPB) facility. This support is one of the factors ensuring the smooth running of the international-scale building materials exhibition, which will take place from 8 to 12 July 2026 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD in Tangerang.
The exhibition was opened in person by the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono. The annual event is attended by more than 550 participants from various countries, showcasing a wide range of innovations and current trends in building materials, architecture, and interior design.
As a trade facilitator and provider of industrial assistance, Customs provides support through the TPPB facility, which is utilised by ICE BSD as the venue for various international exhibitions, including IndoBuildTech 2026. The facility eases the process for organisers and exhibitors to bring in goods from abroad for exhibition purposes.
TPPB is a customs facility that allows imported goods for exhibition purposes to be temporarily stored without being subject to import duties or import taxes, provided prevailing regulations are met. With this facility, the process of bringing in exhibition goods becomes more efficient, allowing international exhibitions to run more smoothly.
Beyond fiscal ease, Customs also offers service convenience through rapid licensing processes and selective customs inspections based on risk management. This approach keeps the flow of goods smooth without compromising oversight.
“Customs, particularly the Banten Regional Customs Office, remains committed to delivering the best service to the public and service users. Through the TPPB facility, we aim to support the smooth running of international exhibitions so as to broaden industrial promotion, boost trading activity, and attract the interest of investors and businesses to invest in Indonesia,” said the Head of the Banten Regional Customs Office, Ambang Priyonggo.
Through the TPPB facility, Customs is not only carrying out its supervisory function but also actively fostering a conducive trading climate. Support for international exhibitions such as IndoBuildTech 2026 is expected to strengthen the competitiveness of national industry while driving growth in investment and international trade to the benefit of the Indonesian economy.
