Banten Customs Issues Bonded Zone Licence in One Hour to Boost PT Suma Artha Perkasa Exports
The Banten Regional Office of Customs and Excise has granted a bonded zone facility to PT Suma Artha Perkasa to bolster industrial competitiveness and national exports. The permit was issued within one hour after the company delivered its business process presentation on Wednesday, 24 June 2026.
Head of the Banten Customs Office, Ambang Priyonggo, explained that the licensing process was carried out through measured and transparent stages. These included the submission of the application by the company, document checks, site visits, and the business process presentation.
“These stages aim to provide a comprehensive picture of the business processes to be undertaken and their potential economic impact, as material for our consideration in issuing the bonded zone facility permit,” Ambang stated on Friday, 26 June 2026.
Through the bonded zone facility, the company receives various fiscal incentives that can support efficiency and business development, including import duty suspension, excise exemption, and the non-collection of Value Added Tax, Sales Tax on Luxury Goods, and Article 22 Income Tax on certain activities in accordance with applicable regulations.
“We hope this facility can be utilised optimally to support business development, increase production capacity, create new jobs, and expand export markets,” Ambang said.
PT Suma Artha Perkasa, located in Tangerang Regency, has successfully penetrated the export market to the United States and continues to expand its market reach to other countries. The company has also realised an initial investment of one million US dollars and absorbed a workforce predominantly from the surrounding community. Going forward, the company projects that employment absorption will continue to increase in line with rising production capacity and business expansion.
PT Suma Artha Perkasa Director, Vincent, expressed appreciation to Customs for the fast and responsive licensing service. He revealed that the bonded zone licence was issued just one hour after the company delivered its business process presentation. “We are committed to driving economic growth through the utilisation of the bonded zone facility while adhering to applicable regulations,” he said.
