Banks Ramp Up AI Use in Recruitment
The banking sector is increasingly adopting artificial intelligence (AI) in recruitment and talent management to meet growing digital transformation demands. AI is no longer just supporting business operations but is playing a key role in candidate sourcing, enhancing applicant engagement, and developing more precise talent acquisition strategies.
This trend is evident at the LinkedIn Talent Awards Indonesia 2025, which recognises companies with technology-driven talent management innovations. PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk received the ‘AI Pioneer–Best Talent Acquisition Team’ category, acknowledging its use of AI in recruitment processes, including LinkedIn Talent Solutions features such as AI-Assisted Search and AI-Assisted Messaging. The bank also reported high AI InMail acceptance rates, indicating strong candidate engagement during recruitment.
Evi Damayanti, Danamon’s Chief Human Capital and Operations Officer, stated that AI is used to create recruitment processes more aligned with the bank’s business transformation needs. ‘This award recognises Danamon’s commitment to responsibly and relevantly applying AI throughout the talent acquisition process,’ she said.
She added that the bank is striving for more precise, inclusive recruitment processes focused on candidate engagement through digital technology. The use of AI and digital tools is part of the bank’s strategy to strengthen human resource management amid fierce digital talent competition. Besides recruitment, Danamon enhances talent development through programmes such as Danamon Bankers Trainee, Danamon Technology Trainee, Danamon Banking Officer, and Danamon SME Trainee.
