Jakarta — Eid al-Fitr 2026 arrives soon. This year, the Nyepi and Eid al-Fitr holidays fall consecutively this week. Citizens who wish to conduct banking transactions must pay attention to bank operating schedules during this extended holiday period.

Based on Joint Ministerial Decree No. 1497, 2, and 5 of 2025 from the Minister of Religion, Minister of Labour, and Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform concerning National Holidays and Joint Leave in 2026, the Nyepi holiday, or Saka New Year 1948, falls on 19 March 2026. Meanwhile, the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri national holiday is set for 21 and 22 March 2026.

Joint leave for Nyepi is observed one day before the celebration, on 18 March 2026. Joint leave for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri is scheduled before and after the national holiday, on 20, 23, and 24 March 2026.

Several major banks have adjusted their branch operations to meet public needs. Below is the operating schedule for major banks during the Nyepi and Eid al-Fitr 2026 holidays.

BRI

PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) is optimising operations at 186 branch offices to provide customer services across various strategic locations. Additionally, BRI offers various services for core customers, such as receiving deposits and redemptions of fuel delivery orders (DO) from petrol stations for Pertamina and opening insurance accident claim accounts for Jasa Raharja.

BRI Operations Director Hakim Putratama stated that providing operational services during the 2026 Eid holiday period is part of BRI’s commitment to supporting smooth financial transaction activities, particularly amid increased mobility during the extended holiday.

“BRI continues to strive to provide easy access to banking services for customers, both through selective branch offices and through digital services such as BRImo and the BRI ATM network available 24 hours. With these services, we hope customer transaction needs remain optimally fulfilled,” said Hakim.

As a commitment to optimising transaction convenience, customers can utilise the BRImo Super Apps to conduct various banking services practically. Additionally, BRI strengthens service access through a network of 10,650 ATMs, nearly 607,000 merchants, and over 1.19 million BRILink agents spread throughout Indonesia so the public can continue to transact safely and easily.

To complement this convenience, customers can also utilise information and assistance services available 24 hours. This service can be accessed through BRI’s virtual assistant “Sabrina” on WhatsApp 0812 1214 017, or BRI Contact at 1500017 or through the toll-free BRImo Help Centre.

On Wednesday (18/3/2026) and Friday (20/3/2026), BRI branch offices will operate normally from 08:00–15:00 WIB. BRI branch offices will not operate on Thursday (19/3/2026) this week.

Subsequently, on Monday (23/3/2026) and Tuesday (24/3/2026), BRI branch offices will also operate normally from 08:00–15:00 WIB.

BNI

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) ensures public transaction needs remain served during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri holiday by implementing limited operational services at several branch offices.

BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo stated that limited operational services are part of BNI’s commitment to continuing to serve customer needs, especially during important occasions such as the Eid holiday.

“These limited operational services are prepared so the public can continue to conduct important banking transactions during the Eid al-Fitr holiday period,” said Okki in a written statement.

BNI has prepared 23 outlets operating with limited hours on 20 March 2026 and 32 outlets on 23 March 2026, with service hours from 10:00 to 12:00 local time.

Through this service, the public can continue to conduct various transactions such as Pertamina fuel deposits, Bulog deposits, government revenue receipts, as well as deposit, withdrawal, and fund transfer services between BNI accounts with a maximum limit of Rp25 million per account per day.

In addition to branch office services, BNI also ensures operational support for transaction needs during the Eid holiday period. The company has prepared O-Branch services or BNI Mobile Units positioned at various strategic points to reach the public, especially in areas without ATM or CRM BNI facilities.

Alongside limited operational services, BNI also encourages the public to utilise available digital banking channels operating 24 hours, such as the wondr by BNI application, BNIdirect, ATMs, and various other electronic banking services.

Bank Mandiri

Per its official website, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) will adjust the operations and services of several branches during the Eid al-Fitr holiday and joint leave from 18–24 March 2026. The service hours during this period are 08:00–15:00 local time.

As an alternative, customers can continue to withdraw cash, deposit cash, and check balances through the Bank Mandiri ATM & CRM network, and transact anytime and anywhere through Livin’ by Mandiri, Kopra by Mandiri, and Livin’ Merchant.
