The Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury (DJPb) for Bali Province stated that banking and financial service institutions on the Island of the Gods are continuously increasing the distribution of micro-enterprise credit through the People’s Business Credit (KUR) scheme.

“Bali ranks among the top six provinces for the largest KUR distribution in the country,” said the Head of the Bali DJPb Regional Office, Supendi, in Denpasar on Friday.

The realisation of KUR distribution during the January-June 2026 period in Bali reached Rp6.92 trillion, representing a 36.3 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2025, which stood at Rp5.07 trillion. From this realisation, micro-enterprises accessed the largest portion, amounting to Rp4.17 trillion.

Debtors from the wholesale and retail trade sectors received the highest proportion of KUR at 33 per cent, followed by 20 per cent from the agricultural sector, and 13 per cent from businesses operating in the community services, socio-cultural, and entertainment sectors.

In terms of regional distribution, Buleleng Regency remains the highest in terms of number of debtors, reaching 14,649 debtors with a nominal value of Rp831.65 billion, while the highest nominal distribution was recorded in Denpasar City, reaching Rp1.18 trillion across 9,870 debtors.

The KUR interest rates remain affordable for all productive enterprises, with the Super Micro KUR interest rate at 3 per cent effective per annum, while the Micro KUR and Small KUR interest rates for the production and export-oriented trade sectors remain at 6 per cent effective per annum.
