Competition for customers is pushing the banking industry to no longer rely solely on savings or lending products. Collaboration with various digital ecosystems through promotional programmes has now become a key strategy to increase transactions. This approach is being pursued by PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk (Danamon) through its ‘Hujan Kejutan’ (Rain of Surprises) programme, held throughout July 2026 to coincide with the company’s 70th anniversary on 16 July. The programme offers a range of transaction promotions available to customers and the public from 1 to 31 July 2026. Danamon’s Consumer Funding & Wealth Business Head, Ivan Jaya, said the series of promotions is a form of appreciation for customers, the public, regulators, and employees who have been part of Danamon’s journey over seven decades. ‘To appreciate the support of all parties, we are providing various special programmes and offers under the theme Hujan Kejutan,’ he said in an official statement. Through the programme, Danamon is partnering with various entities across multiple sectors, from transport, culinary, and retail to entertainment, e-commerce, and travel. This approach enables customers to utilise banking services in more daily activities while expanding the benefits of the company’s products and services. A number of promotions can be enjoyed via Danamon Debit Cards, Credit Cards, and Charge Cards, as well as QRIS D-Bank PRO. The offers include cashback of up to 70 percent, discounts of up to Rp70,000, and various promotions on transport services such as Grab and MyBluebird, the XXI cinema network, culinary and retail merchants in various cities, and e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Tokopedia, Blibli, Alfagift, Astro, and Dinomarket. In addition to daily transaction promotions, Danamon is also presenting various offers for travel needs and financial management, including AirAsia Miles redemption, transactions on Agoda, Zurich Travel Insurance purchases, foreign exchange transactions, vehicle financing, and various programmes for savings and investment products. Meanwhile, Danamon Syariah is also offering promotions for Tabungan Rencana Syariah customers, including savings account opening programmes for Hajj and Umrah. Carrying the theme Hujan Kejutan, the promotions offered include cashback of up to 70 percent, discounts of up to Rp70,000, BI-Fast administration fees and various bill payments for only Rp70, as well as various prizes and special interest rates for a number of financial products. The Hujan Kejutan programme will run until 31 July 2026. Through collaboration with various partners and transaction ecosystems, Danamon hopes to deliver added value for customers while strengthening their engagement with the company’s banking services amid increasingly competitive industry rivalry.
