PT Bank Woori Saudara Indonesia 1906 Tbk (BWS), through its Bandar Lampung Branch Office, held a financial literacy education activity for students of STIE Gentiaras to encourage a culture of saving from an early age and increase vigilance against digital crime. The event, which took place on 19 May 2026, was part of the 7th Anniversary celebration of the Management Student Association (HIMA) of STIE Gentiaras. A total of 110 participants, comprising students and lecturers, enthusiastically followed the presentation on strategic financial planning. Bank Woori Saudara Bandar Lampung Branch representative Riza Arizona attended as the main speaker. In his presentation, he emphasised the importance of wise financial management and the use of banking services to support future financial needs. “This education aims to ensure the younger generation has better financial awareness, understands the benefits of saving, and is able to use financial services safely and responsibly,” said BWS management in an official statement on Friday (12/6/2026). In addition to material on saving, BWS paid special attention to the issue of cybersecurity. Students were provided with an understanding of the dangers of scams and phishing, which frequently target users of digital banking services. Participants were reminded to always maintain the confidentiality of personal data and account information to ensure the security of digital transactions. This programme is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives routinely carried out by Bank Woori Saudara. The company is committed to continuing to play an active role in increasing national financial inclusion through expanding public access and understanding of banking products. The series of events for the 7th Anniversary of HIMA Management STIE Gentiaras concluded with a healthy walk activity on 30 May 2026, involving the academic community and the surrounding community. Through this collaboration, Bank Woori Saudara hopes to provide a sustainable contribution to strengthening financial literacy among the younger generation in Lampung.
