Bank Woori Saudara Announces New President Director Han Chang Sik

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — The listed banking issuer PT Bank Woori Saudara Indonesia 1906 Tbk (SDRA) has announced the appointment of Han Chang Sik as President Director, effective from Thursday, 14 April 2026.

Based on the minutes of the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) held on 30 January 2026, the company approved the appointment of Han Chang Sik as President Director. This decision takes effect from the closure of the meeting and becomes effective after obtaining approval from the fit and proper test by the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

The OJK has granted approval for the assessment of Han Chang Sik’s capability and propriety. This approval is contained in the Copy of the Decision of the OJK Commissioner Board Member No. KEPR-261/D.03/2025 dated 19 December 2025.

Furthermore, the bank’s Board of Directors, in collaboration with this Korean entity, has issued Board of Directors Decree No. 041/KEP-DIR/HC.II/IV/2026 on 14 April 2026 regarding the effective appointment. This decree serves as the formal basis for Han Chang Sik’s position as President Director.

According to the company’s official website, Han Chang Sik was born in Seoul in 1971 and holds a Bachelor of Political Science and Diplomacy from Sogang University. He has extensive experience in the global banking industry, particularly at Woori Bank.

In his career, Han Chang Sik previously served as Deputy General Manager in the areas of Trade Finance, Import/Export, Corporate Loan, and Deposit at Woori Bank’s London Branch from 2012 to 2016. He then served as General Manager in the Audit Department (2016-2020) and Compliance Department (2020-2023).

Subsequently, he was entrusted as General Manager in the Planning & Coordination Department from 2023 to 2024. Before being appointed as President Director, Han Chang Sik served as Senior General Manager in Audit Headquarters (2024-2025) as well as Seodaemun Regional Banking Headquarters (2025-2026) at Woori Bank.
