PT Bank Woori Saudara Indonesia 1906 Tbk (BWS) and Grab Indonesia have officially strengthened their corporate branding collaboration through a symbolic release of Grab vehicles featuring Bank Woori Saudara branding at Taman Mataram, Jakarta. This initiative marks the beginning of BWS’s branding presence within the Grab ecosystem, starting with a symbolic convoy of GrabBike driver-partners in Jakarta. Through this effort, BWS aims to enhance its brand visibility and become closer to the public via Grab’s mobility ecosystem, which is an integral part of urban daily life. The fleet release was symbolically conducted by Bank Woori Saudara Corporate Director Dandy Indrawardhana Pandi alongside a Grab Indonesia representative. This event also serves as the initial step in a branding collaboration that will be implemented in stages across the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek). Dandy stated that the partnership with Grab Indonesia is one of the bank’s efforts to present the BWS brand in a manner that is closer, more relevant, and easily accessible to the public. ‘This collaboration is a strategic step for Bank Woori Saudara to strengthen brand awareness through channels that are very close to people’s daily lives. Grab has a vast mobility and digital services ecosystem, so we see this partnership as an opportunity to introduce Bank Woori Saudara more massively to existing customers, potential customers, and Grab users,’ Dandy said in an official statement on Monday (6/7/2026). The branding campaign includes placing the Bank Woori Saudara identity on GrabCars, including branding on GrabBike driver helmets and backboards. The campaign is also reinforced through GrabAds, which involves placing promotional materials on the main Grab app page, as well as the Food in Transit and Transport in Transit pages. Through this combination of mobility assets and digital channels, BWS can expand its brand visibility more contextually while building closeness with urban communities who are highly mobile and increasingly accustomed to accessing various services via mobile platforms. Dandy added that the collaboration aligns with Bank Woori Saudara’s commitment to expanding engagement with the public through innovative communication approaches. Beyond fleet branding, BWS will also introduce promotional programmes as a token of appreciation for customers and employees during the partnership period. ‘This also encourages wider utilisation of Bank Woori Saudara’s products and services,’ Dandy added. From Grab Indonesia’s perspective, this collaboration demonstrates how a combination of mobility assets and digital channels can help brands appear more contextually in various moments of consumers’ daily lives. A Grab Indonesia representative stated, ‘We warmly welcome the implementation of this collaboration with Bank Woori Saudara. Through the combination of our driver-partner network, Grab fleet, and GrabAds digital channels, BWS can build an integrated brand presence, both when people are on the move and when they are using services on the Grab app. We hope this collaboration can help BWS reach the public, customers, and potential customers more relevantly, while also providing added value for the driver-partners involved in this programme.’ The branding campaign is being implemented in several phases. Grab Ads commenced on 19 June 2026 for one month. Branding on GrabCar rear windows began on 30 June 2026 for a three-month period. Meanwhile, branding on bike backboards started on 22 June 2026 for one month, and the distribution of branded GrabBike helmets is scheduled to begin on 2 July 2026 for a three-month period. Bank Woori Saudara reaffirmed its commitment to continuously delivering adaptive, creative, and relevant communication strategies in line with evolving public behaviour. BWS’s presence within the Grab ecosystem is expected to strengthen brand recognition, increase engagement, and support the company’s efforts to expand public access to banking products and services.
