Bank transfers

Bank transfers

Almost everyone living, working, doing business or touring both in Indonesia and the Pacific Rim region must suffer the frustration, delays and costs when bank transfers are delayed, go astray or must be tracked.

The banks blame correspondent banks or the "it goes via New York" routine but the upshot is that an overnight transaction invariably remains in the hands of "banks" for one week or more.

Perhaps my letter might create a brief forum for customers with their own horror stories or even some response from bankers with their comments on the causes of the problem.
