Bank Sumut and North Sumatra Education Agency Strengthen Digital BOSP Governance
PT Bank Sumut (Perseroda) is collaborating with the Education Agency of North Sumatra Province to strengthen digital-based governance of School Operational Assistance (BOSP) through cashless transactions and digital services.
Bank Sumut President Director Heru Mardiansyah said the move is directed at achieving school financial management that is more transparent, accountable, secure, efficient, and easy to trace.
“BOSP funds, including BOS funds, through the implementation of cashless transactions and the use of digital services,” Heru said in Medan, North Sumatra, on Wednesday.
Bank Sumut socialised SUMUT Net Corporate, SIPLah (School Procurement Information System), and the School Partnership Programme at the Bank Sumut Head Office Hall on 10–11 August 2026.
Heru said the move is part of the implementation of North Sumatra Governor Regulation Number 11 of 2020 concerning Amendments to North Sumatra Governor Regulation Number 16 of 2019 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Cashless Transactions.
“A good school requires good governance. Financial management must be transparent, administration must be orderly, and supported by a system capable of making work faster, more efficient, and accountable,” he said.
Through SUMUT Net Corporate, Bank Sumut supports schools in conducting financial transactions digitally so that payments and transfers can be documented.
“This collaboration between Bank Sumut and the Education Agency is expected not to stop at socialisation, but also to be applied in day-to-day financial management across all education units,” Heru said.
Secretary of the North Sumatra Provincial Education Agency Terang Dewi Susanti Ujung said cashless transactions are important for strengthening transparency and accountability in school budget management.
According to her, recorded transactions will be easier to trace and help schools have clearer financial administration while reducing the potential for errors in budget management.
“Make technology a means of improving service quality, not merely fulfilling administrative demands,” Terang stressed.
