Bank Sumsel Babel Supports Adequate Housing Through BSPS
Bank Sumsel Babel has established a collaboration with the South Sumatera Regional Housing Development Agency (Balai Pelaksana Penyediaan Perumahan dan Kawasan Permukiman Sumatera V), an agency under the Ministry of Housing and Settlement, to support implementation of the Self-Reliant Housing Stimulus Assistance Programme (BSPS) in South Sumatra Province.
The collaboration was formalised through a memorandum of understanding signed by Marzuki, President Director of Bank Sumsel Babel, and Yustin Patria Primordia, Head of the South Sumatera Regional Housing Development Agency. The signing ceremony took place at Bank Sumsel Babel’s head office in Jakabaring, Palembang, on Monday, 9 March 2026.
Through this collaboration, Bank Sumsel Babel will play a role in supporting the distribution process of assistance to beneficiary communities, ensuring the process is conducted more effectively, transparently, and accountably. The support is expected to ensure the BSPS programme operates optimally in improving housing quality for the population.
Marzuki stated that this synergy represents Bank Sumsel Babel’s commitment to supporting the government’s strategic housing programme, particularly for low-income communities in the Bank’s operational region comprising South Sumatra and the Bangka Belitung Islands.
The BSPS programme itself is a government initiative to assist communities in upgrading their housing quality through self-reliant efforts via stimulus assistance grants. The programme also forms part of support for President Prabowo Subianto’s Three Million Homes Programme, which aims to expand public access to adequate, affordable, and quality housing.
