Bank Sumsel Babel Introduces Safe Deposit Boxes, a Secure Storage Solution for Valuable Assets

PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Sumatera Selatan dan Bangka Belitung (Bank Sumsel Babel) has introduced a Safe Deposit Box (SDB) service as a secure storage solution for customers’ valuable assets and important documents. The launch event took place at the bank’s main branch office on Jalan Gubernur H. Bastari in Jakabaring, Palembang, on Thursday (27/3/2025).

Bank Sumsel Babel President Director Achmad Syamsudin stated that the SDB service is designed to provide a sense of security and comfort for customers storing high-value items. ‘We understand that many people have valuable assets or important documents that require extra protection. With the SDB, customers no longer need to worry about the risk of theft, fire, or natural disasters,’ he said.

The SDB facility is equipped with a high-level security system, including a specially designed vault room, dual-key access control, and 24-hour CCTV surveillance. Customers can rent boxes in various sizes according to their needs, with affordable annual rental fees.

Achmad added that the SDB service is currently available at the Jakabaring Main Branch Office and will gradually be expanded to other branch offices. ‘This is part of our commitment to continuously innovate and provide the best service for the people of South Sumatra and Bangka Belitung,’ he concluded.
