Bank Saqu Distributes Healthcare Equipment to the Elderly
Bank Saqu has provided healthcare equipment to the Graha Bina Asuh Foundation for the elderly in Bogor. The aid comprises physiotherapy devices and exercise bikes to support the therapy and rehabilitation activities of the foundation’s residents. Bank Saqu is a banking service owned by Astra Financial and WeLab. The handover was conducted symbolically by Acting President Director Leka Madiadipoera to the foundation’s Manager Dr Desy. ‘Bank Saqu believes that meaningful growth is not only measured by business performance, but also by how Bank Saqu can deliver a positive impact for society. This aid is expected to help support recovery activities and the daily lives of the elderly so that they can live healthier and more comfortable lives,’ Leka said in a statement on Friday, 22 May 2026. The initiative also involved Bank Saqu employees who interacted directly with the elderly at the foundation. Graha Bina Asuh Foundation provides accommodation and support for the elderly under its ‘Rumah Sendiri’ concept. To date, the foundation has supported nearly 100 elderly people through various social and health programmes. Desy, the foundation’s manager, said the healthcare facilities aid will help support the residents’ therapy activities. ‘This assistance is a very meaningful support for us in equipping therapy facilities and helping the elderly stay active and have a better quality of life,’ Desy said.
