Bank NTB Syariah Distributes Laying Hen Aid to Boost Rural Economy in East Lombok
Bank NTB Syariah distributed laying hen farming assistance to 20 beneficiaries in Lendang Nangka Utara Village, Masbagik Subdistrict, East Lombok, on Monday (3/8/2026). The move was taken to accelerate financial inclusion whilst encouraging economic empowerment of rural communities.
The programme is a form of Bank NTB Syariah’s full support for the Desa Berdaya (Empowered Village) West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) programme initiated by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) together with the NTB Provincial Government.
Adhi Susantio, Director of Funds and Transactions at Bank NTB Syariah, said the company’s participation in the Desa Berdaya NTB programme is a tangible manifestation of its social and business functions in creating a positive impact on residents’ economic conditions.
“Bank NTB Syariah is fully committed to being present and making a real contribution to strengthening the regional economy. The distribution of laying hen farming assistance to these 20 beneficiaries is expected to serve as a productive economic stimulus to improve people’s living standards and realise village economic independence,” said Adhi in a written statement on Tuesday (4/8/2026).
According to Adhi, the micro-enterprise and smallholder livestock sectors have great potential if managed in a structured manner. Through this farming equipment assistance, residents are expected to manage their businesses optimally to support their families’ needs whilst driving the local economic wheels.
“Going forward, Bank NTB Syariah will continue to expand the reach of its empowerment programmes and inclusive financial mentoring so that the welfare of the people of NTB is realised evenly, reaching even the remotest villages,” Adhi added.
The assistance handover ceremony was also attended by officials from the NTB Regional Secretariat and the East Lombok Regency Administration, leaders of OJK central and regional offices, relevant department heads, and national and international financial institution partners such as Astra Financial, PT SMF, WWB and the ILO. This synergy among various parties is expected to give rise to new economic growth centres based on local potential at the village level.
