Bank NISP joins BAFT
JAKARTA (JP): Bank NISP has been approved and accepted as a
member of the Bankers' Association for Foreign Trade of the
United States (BAFT).
Bank NISP announced in a statement over the weekend that it is
the second Indonesian private bank after Bank Central Asia to be
accepted as a member of the international bankers' association.
The membership to the association is expected to create more
opportunities for Bank NISP to expand international banking
activities, the bank announced.
The association, which also groups two Indonesian state-owned
banks, was founded in 1921 to foster and promote international
trade, finance and investment between the United States and other
countries.
Bank NISP, which is based in Bandung, West Java, accepted an
ISO 9002 certification from the Standard Australia Quality
Assurance Services late last year. (hen)
