Bank NISP gets ISO-9002

JAKARTA (JP): The publicly listed Bank NISP has received a
recommendation from the Standard Australia Assurance Services
(SAQAS) to receive an ISO-9002 certificate of standardization.

The bank said in a statement here Saturday that the
recommendation was given after the bank passed a thorough
assessment from the Australian firm.

A bank director, Pramukti Surjaudaja, said that the bank,
which is based in Bandung, West Java, would be the first local
bank to receive an ISO-9002 certificate.

The bank, which is listed on the Jakarta and Surabaya stock
exchanges, booked pre-tax profits of Rp 18 billion (US$8.18
million) in the first nine months of this year, indicating an
increase of 57.14 percent over the same period of the previous
