Bank NISP chief gets award

JAKARTA (JP): The managing director of Bank NISP, Parwati
Surjaudaya (second left), won the Young Business Achiever Award,
beating four other competitors after her presentation on her
company's performance before a jury here yesterday.

Presenting her company's achievement bilingually -- in
Indonesian and English -- Parwati, an MBA graduate of the San
Francisco State University, was elected by acclamation after
winning over the jury -- comprising of a deputy chairperson of
the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dewi Motik, the
president of PT Humpuss Petikemas, Ongky Sumarno, a deputy
chairman of Lippo Group, James T. Riady (left), and a
commissioner of PT Pendawa Sempurna, Teddy Pawitra.

Parwati accepted the trophy and a return ticket from British
Airways to participate in the World Young Business Achievement
competition in Edinburgh, Britain, on March 23.
