Bank Neo Commerce (BBYB) Appoints New President Director

PT Bank Neo Commerce Tbk (BBYB), or BNC, has reshuffled its management, including the position of president director. The digital bank, which is part of Akulaku Group, held an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders in Jakarta on Thursday (29 October 2026).

At the meeting, shareholders approved the appointment of Christian Lesmana as president director, replacing Eri Budiono, whose resignation was also approved. Shareholders also approved the appointment of Yosea Iskandar as compliance director.

Both appointments will take effect after approval from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) following fit-and-proper assessments, and after the candidates meet the applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

While Christian Lesmana’s appointment as president director awaits formal approval, the company will be led on an interim basis by acting president director Adrian Soewardjo.

Christian Lesmana has more than 24 years’ experience in digital lending, consumer banking, business transformation, risk management and financial services. He has also built and expanded digital businesses, driven digital innovation and delivered sustainable growth in Indonesia and the Asia-Pacific region.

His banking experience includes senior leadership roles at HSBC Indonesia, Citi Indonesia, DBS Bank Singapore, Bank OCBC NISP and Bank Danamon Indonesia, as well as fintech experience at the DANA e-wallet.

Yosea Iskandar has more than three decades of experience in law and the financial sector, including banking. During his career, he served as country counsel at Citibank N.A. Indonesia and head of legal and corporate secretariat at PT Bank DBS Indonesia.

These roles have given him broad perspectives on legal matters, corporate governance and the regulatory framework for the financial services industry.
