Bank Muamalat’s Multi-Purpose Financing Outstanding Grows 11.8%
Jakarta (ANTARA) – PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk recorded outstanding balances for its multi-purpose financing product of Rp675 billion as at September 2026, up 11.8 per cent year on year from Rp604 billion in the same period last year.
Bank Muamalat Director Ricky Rikardo Mulyadi said in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday that the growth indicated that the sharia-compliant multi-purpose product, known as Multiguna iB Hijrah, remained relevant to customers’ needs.
The company said it would continue to expand its reach among payroll customers and its existing customer base while maintaining portfolio quality.
“Our strategy goes beyond simply extending financing. Payroll is the first step towards building a more comprehensive sharia-compliant financial relationship, covering daily transactions, financing for family needs, home ownership, and planning for the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages,” Ricky said.
Bank Muamalat’s appointment as a salary-disbursement bank for state civil apparatus (ASN) has also helped drive the use of Multiguna iB Hijrah.
In addition to ASN, the bank is targeting the education and healthcare sectors, including schools, universities and hospitals.
“We are also making the most of other segments, including state institutions, state-owned enterprises, the Hajj and Umrah ecosystem, and the halal industry, which we consider to have demand for sharia-based financing,” Ricky said.
He stressed that Bank Muamalat remained focused on healthy growth by prioritising ecosystems with measurable risk profiles and transparent sources of repayment, while consistently monitoring financing quality.
The quality of Multiguna iB Hijrah financing has been maintained well, the bank said, adding that it was optimistic it could grow its consumer portfolio in a healthy and sustainable way this year.
Multiguna iB Hijrah is designed to meet a range of financing needs in accordance with sharia principles.
Bank Muamalat offers flexible financing arrangements, supported by digital processes, for needs such as education costs, home renovations and vehicle purchases.
