Bank Muamalat’s digital banking application, Muamalat DIN, has won the Best Sharia Mobile Banking award at the 2026 Anugerah Syariah Republika (ASR) held in Jakarta on Wednesday (1/7). Compliance Director of Bank Muamalat, Karno, said the award serves as motivation for the bank to continue developing Muamalat DIN to better meet the needs of the public. “Insya Allah, Bank Muamalat will continue to develop Muamalat DIN to be much better and provide greater benefits to society,” Karno said after receiving the award.

Republika held the 2026 Anugerah Syariah Republika to appreciate industry players, institutions, and figures deemed to have contributed to advancing the national sharia economy. The event carried the theme “Sharia for All: Beyond Profit, Toward Purpose”, emphasising that the sharia economy is not solely oriented towards business growth but also delivers broader benefits to society. Republika’s Editor-in-Chief, Andi Muhyiddin, stated the theme was chosen to underscore that sharia principles prioritise a balance between business success and social responsibility, sustainability, and public welfare. He added that the awards recognise institutions and individuals who not only demonstrate excellent performance but also drive innovation, expand inclusion, and contribute to the development of Indonesia’s sharia economic ecosystem.

The judging process for ASR 2026 was supported by an independent jury team from Karim Consulting Indonesia. The event also featured a Reader’s Choice component, with polling conducted from 15 May to 15 June 2026 via Republika.co.id and Republika’s social media channels, gathering 27,414 votes, an increase from the previous year. Republika hopes the awards will encourage all stakeholders to continue delivering innovation, expanding inclusion, and strengthening the sharia economic ecosystem to provide tangible benefits to the public. The event was held in conjunction with the Indonesia Sharia Forum (ISF) 2026.
