Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk is strengthening its teams in six cities to face the challenges of the second half of 2026 amidst global and domestic economic dynamics. The team strengthening is being carried out through the Synergy Roadshow 2026, taking place from July to August 2026 in Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Makassar, and Medan. President Director of Bank Muamalat Imam Teguh Saptono said the activity is a collaboration with the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) to build synergy and evaluate the business performance of all Bank Muamalat regions. The forum with leaders and sales teams in regional offices and branches aims to convey strategy, business priorities, and management direction to all Muamalat personnel in order to enhance team capabilities. “We are also identifying growth opportunities in each region. The goal is clear: we want to build spirit and optimism to face the second half of this year, amidst challenging national economic conditions and ongoing global volatility,” Imam said. Imam emphasised the importance of sustainable growth. Therefore, Bank Muamalat is implementing a business strategy focused on the retail segment, both consumer and small medium enterprise (SME), which has proven to be more resilient, without neglecting the development of a healthy corporate segment. According to the company’s records, flagship consumer products such as Solusi Emas Hijrah financing and SME lending recorded solid increases. Solusi Emas Hijrah financing surged more than elevenfold year-on-year (yoy) to reach Rp1.7 trillion at the end of March 2026. The number of customer accounts also rose sharply by 274 percent yoy. Furthermore, the company continues to accelerate financing growth in the SME sector. As of March 2026, outstanding SME financing reached Rp3.1 trillion, growing 33 percent compared to the previous year. “SMEs are a highly prospective sector to develop because they play a crucial role in supporting national economic stability. This sector also has good risk management or distribution,” Imam said. BPKH and Bank Muamalat are also continuing to strengthen business synergy through a number of strategic collaborations. According to Imam, this synergy is a mutual effort to support each other, especially since the hajj and umrah ecosystem is a large one that can have a multiplier effect on various economic and social sectors in the country. “We want every service, product, and added value we can provide to be a path of transformation towards blessings for stakeholders, where the benefits can be sustainable and felt by all elements everywhere,” Imam said. One collaboration undertaken is the launch of the Indonesian Hajj Card to replace cash usage. Besides providing ease and comfort for pilgrims, this initiative also supports the digitalisation of hajj and umrah rituals in the Holy Land. Hajj registration can be done through various channels provided by the company, namely the Muamalat DIN mobile banking app, all Bank Muamalat branch offices, and the PT Pos Indonesia network across various regions in Indonesia. The Muamalat DIN application is also equipped with a Hajj Bank feature that allows customers to register, pay hajj fees, and check registration history and hajj benefit values. BPKH and Bank Muamalat have agreed to continue implementing joint events, including national and international programmes related to socialisation, dissemination, as well as fundraising and benefit programmes. BPKH has also appointed Bank Muamalat as one of the sharia banks providing custodian services. “By leveraging our digital capabilities and network, this synergy is expected not only to improve service quality for prospective hajj and umrah pilgrims but also to strengthen the role of the Islamic economy in supporting the wider welfare of the people,” Imam said.
