He added that halal certification needs to be linked to halal transactions, so that the Islamic economy can gain sustainable growth momentum. “Digital advancement in the country is an advantage for the Islamic finance industry. With a digital approach, product halal certification is expected to be developed as a gateway for transactions, from payments and financing to integrated Islamic fund management,” said Ricky. The company stated it continues to enhance its digital infrastructure capabilities to integrate with the halal ecosystem online. With the rapid development of the halal lifestyle, the company views the integration of Islamic finance with the halal ecosystem as something that should be managed seriously and mutually supportive. “The economic potential of the halal ecosystem is enormous. With strong integration between halal certification, the Islamic financial system, and digitalisation, it is hoped that the halal economy can be converted into inclusive and sustainable economic growth,” said Ricky. The company believes that synergy between institutions alone is not enough to encourage the creation of a robust halal ecosystem. Beyond that, improving public literacy and understanding of the halal industry is also needed. In this regard, the company stated it remains actively involved in this strategic initiative.
