PT Bank Mega Syariah recorded growth in its consumer financing portfolio throughout the first half of 2026. As of June 2026, the bank’s consumer financing portfolio reached IDR 601 billion, marking a 17.7% increase compared to the same period last year. On a year-to-date basis, consumer financing grew 5.72% from the end of 2025. Among its products, gold financing was the primary driver of growth. The gold financing portfolio reached IDR 42.6 billion, a surge of 1,715% compared to the end of 2025. From December 2025 to June 2026, the bank disbursed financing for 22.3 kilograms of precious metals. Benadicto Alvonzo Ferary, Digital Business & Product Management Division Head of Bank Mega Syariah, stated that the growth in consumer financing reflects increasing public interest in accessible, sharia-compliant financial products. ‘The consumer segment is one of the areas we continue to strengthen. The portfolio growth up to June 2026 shows that Bank Mega Syariah’s financing products are increasingly accepted by the public,’ he said in an official statement on Monday (20/7/2026). Looking ahead to the end of the year, the bank aims to grow its consumer business by optimising flagship products, strengthening digital channels, and expanding customer acquisition through community and ecosystem-based approaches. Benadicto added that the company will focus its strategy on products with rising demand, such as gold financing, unsecured financing, and special Hajj financing. ‘We will also strengthen synergy with branch networks, improve the quality of the acquisition process, and optimise digital channels to make financing services easier, faster, and more aligned with customer needs,’ he said. The bank also affirmed its commitment to prudential principles in lending, continuing to strengthen portfolio quality monitoring, risk management, and collection strategies to maintain a healthy and sustainable financing portfolio.
