Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Bank Mega Tbk has distributed donations worth Rp127.6 million to 820 disaster survivors in Aceh Tamiang in the form of food packages and educational packages consisting of books and writing materials. The donations were collected by the company through the #MegaBerkahnya programme, which ran from 18 February 2026 to 31 March 2026. This programme aims to invite customers to share goodness during Ramadan. Regional Head of Bank Mega Medan, Lina Wu, stated in Jakarta on Wednesday that customers could contribute to collecting the donations by increasing credit and debit card transactions as well as increasing balances or opening savings accounts in Tabungan Mega Dana, Mega Maxi, and Mega Zaver. Bank Mega collaborated with CT Arsa Foundation in distributing the donations to communities affected post-disaster in Aceh Tamiang. CT Arsa Foundation conducted data collection on the communities in need and the types of assistance prioritised. Through this programme, Bank Mega hopes to provide tangible benefits to the community, particularly in assisting post-disaster recovery and supporting the continuity of children’s education in the affected areas. With the end of the #MegaBerkahnya programme, Bank Mega states its commitment to continue presenting programmes that provide positive and sustainable impacts for the wider community. The public can still channel donations through Tabungan Mega Berbagi. This product allows customers to set aside a portion of the savings interest for social activities. Customers can set aside a minimum of 1 percent of the interest received, with an additional contribution of 1 percent from Bank Mega. The funds are used to support education, health, community empowerment, and disaster mitigation programmes.
