Bank Mega Distributes Food and Education Aid to Aceh
PT Bank Mega Tbk (MEGA) has handed over donations to communities affected by disasters in Aceh Tamiang. The donation handover is part of the Ramadan #MegaBerkahnya programme, which has now entered the distribution phase.
The #MegaBerkahnya programme is an initiative by Bank Mega to encourage customers to share goodness during Ramadan. Through this programme, customers can donate via transactions.
“By simply increasing transactions with credit cards and debit cards, as well as increasing balances or opening savings accounts in Mega Dana, Mega Maxi, and Mega Zaver, customers can contribute to collecting donations,” explained Regional Head of Bank Mega Medan, Lina Wu, in her statement on Wednesday (29/4/2026).
Lina added that during the programme period from 18 February to 31 March 2026, Bank Mega successfully collected donations amounting to Rp127,560,302, distributed to 820 people in the form of food packages and education packages consisting of books and writing materials.
In this donation distribution, Bank Mega collaborated with the CT Arsa Foundation. The CT Arsa Foundation played a role in data collection on communities in need and the types of aid prioritised.
The symbolic donation handover event was attended by Regional Head of Bank Mega Medan, Lina Wu, accompanied by Regional Human Capital Head of Bank Mega Medan, Liza Aryani, and General Manager of CT Arsa Foundation, Khaerani Akbar, in Citra Village and Sekumur Village, Aceh Tamiang Regency.
Through this programme, Bank Mega hopes to provide tangible benefits to the community, particularly in aiding post-disaster recovery and supporting the continuity of children’s education in affected areas.
With the #MegaBerkahnya programme concluded, Bank Mega is committed to continuing to present programmes that deliver positive and sustainable impacts for the wider community.
The public can also channel their donations through Mega Berbagi Savings, a savings product that invites the community to save while doing charity and sharing.
By setting aside a minimum of 1% from the interest received, and Bank Mega also participating by adding another 1%, the public has contributed to improving the quality of education, health, community empowerment, and disaster management.
