Bank Mega distributes 15,000 basic food packages to communities ahead of Eid al-Fitr

Bank Mega Tbk distributed basic food packages to communities across its branch network in Indonesia as well as at the head office, totaling nearly 15,000 packages.

The President Director of Bank Mega, Kostaman Thayib, said that Mega Berbagi 2026 stems from donations collected through the Mega Berbagi Savings product.

‘Bank Mega recognises that the company’s long journey is inseparable from the support of society. Therefore, Bank Mega’s presence is not only manifested through superior banking products and services, but also through tangible, consistent, and sustainable social contributions,’ Kostaman said in Jakarta on Friday.

Kostaman explained that the distribution of basic food packages currently undertaken is one of the realisations of the Mega Berbagi programme, which rests on three main pillars: education, health, and community empowerment and disaster management.

He added that the programme is expected to help ease the community’s needs in preparing for Eid al-Fitr.

Mega Berbagi 2026 carries the theme ‘Sharing Blessings Through Care’. It emphasises that every act of genuine kindness will bring blessings, not only to the recipients of assistance but also to all those involved.

‘Through this programme, Bank Mega also aims to strengthen the awareness and social commitment of the board of directors, management, and employees to those in need across various regions of Indonesia,’ Kostaman said.
