Bank Mega Conducts Coretax Education Seminars for Customers
Jakarta – PT Bank Mega Tbk (MEGA) has organised a Coretax seminar for customers to provide education on the latest tax administration system and offer perspectives relevant to customer needs.
In conducting this event, Bank Mega has partnered with professional tax consultant organisations, namely the Indonesian Tax Consultant Association (IKPI) and FlazzTax. In several seminars held, Bank Mega has also presented local tax consultants as speakers to provide perspectives relevant to local customer needs.
“The Coretax seminar represents our appreciation for the trust and loyalty customers have given to Bank Mega. Additionally, this event provides a discussion forum on Coretax, particularly ahead of the tax reporting period in March for both individuals and corporations,” explained Heriwan Gazali, Director of Retail Banking, on Tuesday, 25 February 2026.
The seminar has been organised because many business owners and the general public still lack proper understanding of the Coretax system. Furthermore, a deeper understanding of this latest regulation will help Bank Mega customers manage their financial planning more effectively and efficiently in accordance with applicable rules.
Ikhwan Ashadi, Managing Director of Citra Global Consulting and Managing Partner of KAP GIAR, representing the Indonesian Tax Consultant Association (IKPI), stated that banks’ trust in engaging consultants demonstrates that this profession bears significant responsibility as a bridge between the interests of taxpayers and policies set by central government authorities.
The Coretax seminar has been conducted in various Indonesian cities. To date, the programme has been held 27 times across more than 15 cities, including Medan, Lampung, Jakarta, Bogor, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Solo, Semarang, Surabaya, Bali, Makassar, Ternate, Samarinda, Pekanbaru, Balikpapan and Jakarta.
Through the Coretax seminar, customers can engage in direct discussions with experts to obtain proper references for data synchronisation in self-service tax administration applications. Thus, customers can understand the latest tax regulations and reporting systems more comprehensively whilst strengthening long-term relationships with the bank through the provision of relevant, educational and value-added services.
