Bank Mantap-UGM Agree on Collaboration for Financial Services and Human Resource Development
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — PT Bank Mandiri Taspen has forged a partnership with Universitas Gadjah Mada to broaden financial services within the campus environment. This agreement also opens access to internship programmes and strengthens financial literacy for students. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding was conducted by Bank Mandiri Taspen’s President Director, Panji Irawan, and UGM Rector Prof Ova Emilia at the UGM campus on Friday (10/4). Panji stated that this collaboration focuses on integrating banking services with the university’s operational needs. “Today’s signing is not merely a ceremony. It is our commitment to support UGM’s operations to become even more efficient through integrated banking solutions, while providing opportunities for students to hone practical competencies in the financial industry,” said Panji. The partnership encompasses the provision of payment services for Non-Tax State Revenue and Single Tuition Fees through a virtual account system. This service is intended to facilitate transactions within the campus environment. Panji explained that Bank Mandiri Taspen is also opening internship and scholarship programmes for UGM students. In addition, Bank Mandiri Taspen employees will have opportunities to pursue studies at UGM up to the postgraduate level. Ova stated that this collaboration also includes financial literacy programmes for educational personnel and staff ahead of retirement. “The financial literacy programme focused on retirement preparation is important so that educational personnel can enter their post-service period with solid financial readiness,” said Ova.
