Bank Mantap Partners with IPB University to Offer Student Internships

PT Bank Mandiri Taspen (Bank Mantap) is opening up internship and Officer Development Program (ODP) opportunities for IPB University students through a human resources development partnership. The programme is expected to strengthen the connection between the education sector and the needs of the banking industry. Bank Mantap President Director Panji Irawan stated that the collaboration with IPB not only includes providing banking services for the academic community but also offers students the chance to gain work experience in the financial services sector. “Internship programmes are definitely possible, because we also have a branch in Bogor and an ODP programme that routinely recruits prospective employees, so this can be collaborated on,” Panji said in a statement on Wednesday (5/8/2026). He added that the partnership is part of developing an ecosystem that connects higher education with the banking industry. Beyond internship programmes, Bank Mantap will also support banking services on campus, ranging from operational fund management to payroll services for the academic community. “Bank Mandiri Taspen must collaborate in the context of ecosystem development. We realise that at IPB there are lecturers, civil servants, and staff who require payroll services,” he said. Panji expressed hope that the collaboration will help prepare graduates who are more ready to enter the workforce while simultaneously improving financial literacy within the higher education environment. Meanwhile, IPB University’s Vice Rector for Global Connectivity, Cooperation, and Alumni, Iskandar Z. Siregar, said that collaboration with industry is important to enrich students’ experiences before they enter the professional world. “Our hopes are very high, because Bank Mandiri Taspen comes from the practitioner side, and we are from the academic side. When the two are brought together, they will generate new, innovative ideas,” Iskandar said. According to him, the partnership also opens opportunities for students to participate in various competency development programmes, including internships and recruitment in the banking sector. “For students, I think there will be many student activities that can be carried out from this collaboration,” he said. Through this partnership, Bank Mantap and IPB University hope to strengthen financial literacy, improve student competencies, and prepare talent that is more ready to meet the needs of the financial services industry.
