Bank Mandiri's Third-Party Funds Surge 21.1% in Q1-2026, CASA Rises 12.7%
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — The performance of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk’s third-party funds (DPK) mobilisation showed solid growth. The bank, listed under the ticker BMRI, recorded a 21.1% year-on-year (yoy) surge in DPK.
Bank Mandiri’s President Director, Riduan, stated that this indicates the company has successfully maintained customer trust. “Resulting in stable and sustainable liquidity management,” he said during the Q1-2026 performance presentation on Tuesday (21/4/2026).
The growth in Bank Mandiri’s DPK was supported by low-cost funds, or current account savings account (CASA), which rose 12.7% yoy to Rp1.201 trillion.
Meanwhile, in the first quarter of this year, Bank Mandiri’s credit grew 17.4% yoy. This achievement is nearly double the growth relative to the broader industry.
“(Bank Mandiri’s credit) we are focusing on to drive real economic activities, particularly those that are productive and labour-intensive,” Riduan said.
Furthermore, BMRI achieved healthy growth in SME credit. BMRI’s SME credit increased 5.27% yoy, far better than the broader banking industry’s SME credit, which is still experiencing contraction.
This then led BMRI to record a profit of Rp15.4 trillion over the first three months of 2026, up 16.6% yoy.
Bank Mandiri recorded interest income growth of 11.1% yoy to Rp21.2 trillion. Interest expense then rose 4.1% yoy to Rp8.24 trillion.
Overall, total income grew by 9.15% yoy at the end of Q1-2026.
Riduan also stated that this profit achievement brought a good return on equity (ROE) of 22.1%. From the capital side, the bank maintained it at 19.7%.
