Bank Mandiri Pays out Massive Dividend Tomorrow Monday (25/5), Yet BMRI Share Price Continues to Decline
Jakarta — PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk is scheduled to pay its final dividend for the 2025 financial year worth IDR 35.14 trillion to shareholders on Monday, 25 May 2026. Despite this massive dividend distribution, BMRI share prices continue to face downward pressure, with valuations now trading at levels relatively cheaper compared to historical averages.
Bank Mandiri previously approved a total cash dividend distribution of IDR 44.47 trillion, equivalent to IDR 476.95 per share, at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) held on 29 April 2026. This amount already includes an interim dividend of IDR 9.32 trillion or IDR 100 per share, which was distributed on 14 January 2026.
Accordingly, the remaining final dividend to be paid to shareholders reaches IDR 35.14 trillion or equivalent to IDR 376.95 per share.
Shareholders entitled to receive the final dividend are investors recorded in the shareholder register as at 12 May 2026 at 4:00 PM Western Indonesia Time. The cum date for the dividend occurred on 8 May 2026.
On the cum date trading session, BMRI shares closed at IDR 4,630 per share. With a final dividend value of IDR 376.95 per share, the resulting dividend yield reached approximately 8.14 per cent.
As of the close of trading on Friday, 22 May 2026, BMRI shares fell 1.20 per cent to IDR 4,120 per share. Over the past month, shares of the bank member of the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara) have corrected 12.34 per cent.
Pressure has also come from foreign investor sell-offs. During the same period, foreign investors recorded net selling worth IDR 4.99 trillion in BMRI shares.
This situation has resulted in Bank Mandiri’s share valuation now being at levels considered cheap compared to its historical average.
Meanwhile, the price-to-earnings ratio (PER) of BMRI stood at 6.58 times on a trailing twelve-month (TTM) basis, also approaching minus two standard deviations of the ten-year historical PER level at 5.91 times.
Given the increasingly attractive valuation, Samuel Sekuritas maintained a buy recommendation for BMRI shares with a price target of IDR 5,500 per share.
