Bank Mandiri Net Profit Grows 18.6% to Rp23.3 Trillion
Bank Mandiri posted a net profit of Rp23.3 trillion during January to May 2026, representing an 18.6% year-on-year (yoy) increase. The profitability growth trend helped maintain the bank’s return on equity (ROE) at a stable level of around 20%. As of the end of May 2026, Bank Mandiri’s bank-only total assets were recorded at Rp2,306 trillion, growing 20.0% compared to the same period the previous year.
Director of Finance & Strategy at Bank Mandiri, Novita Widya Anggraini, stated that the achievement was inseparable from the intermediation function, which continues to show a positive trend. During the first five months of 2026, the bank, listed under the ticker code BMRI, disbursed loans worth Rp1,580 trillion on a bank-only basis, up 20.6% yoy. Novita said the credit flowed into productive sectors, ranging from industrial downstreaming to the MSME segment.
“This performance is the result of measured and consistent strategy execution across all business lines, with disciplined and prudent risk management to maintain healthy growth in the long term,” Novita said in an official statement on Friday (26/6).
Furthermore, on the funding side, total bank-only third-party funds (DPK) also grew 22.0% yoy to Rp1,716 trillion. This was supported by low-cost funds (current account and saving account/CASA), with current accounts reaching Rp664 trillion and savings amounting to Rp559 trillion.
The growth was also driven by the sustained performance of Bank Mandiri’s digital services, Livin’ by Mandiri and Kopra by Mandiri, which continued to record increased usage. Besides boosting digital transaction growth, the rising number of users on both platforms also strengthened financial literacy and expanded access to technology-based financial services. This, she said, aligns with Danantara’s vision of ensuring state assets are managed effectively, productively, and provide broader benefits for the Indonesian people.
Novita added that the integrated synergy between the digital ecosystem and physical network allows customers to manage their finances comprehensively within a single service platform. Going forward, she confirmed that Bank Mandiri will continue to strengthen its role as a strategic partner to the government through financing national priority programmes. This includes KUR, strengthening MSMEs and cooperatives, subsidised mortgages, as well as strategic sectors and industrial downstreaming to drive job creation.
“Through the integrated synergy of the Bank Mandiri ecosystem connecting digital services, distribution networks, and productive financing, we are committed to remaining present for all levels of society and supporting inclusive and sustainable national economic growth,” Novita concluded.
