PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk recorded a 20.6 percent year-on-year (yoy) growth in lending on a bank-only basis, reaching Rp1,580 trillion as of May 2026, with the majority channelled to productive sectors. These sectors range from downstream industries to MSMEs, supporting grassroots economic growth and job creation across various regions in Indonesia. “This performance is the result of measured and consistent strategy execution across all business lines, with disciplined and prudent risk management to maintain healthy long-term growth,” said Bank Mandiri Director of Finance & Strategy Novita Widya Anggraini in a statement in Jakarta on Friday. On the funding side, Bank Mandiri recorded a 22.0 percent yoy increase in third-party funds (DPK) on a bank-only basis to Rp1,716 trillion. This growth was underpinned by low-cost current account and savings account (CASA) funds, with current accounts reaching Rp664 trillion and savings accounts Rp559 trillion. The bank’s total assets on a bank-only basis stood at Rp2,306 trillion, up 20.0 percent yoy compared to the same period the previous year. Meanwhile, Bank Mandiri’s net profit as of the end of May 2026 reached Rp23.3 trillion, growing 18.6 percent yoy. This positive profitability trend helped maintain the bank’s return on equity (ROE) at a stable level of around 20 percent. The company stated that the positive performance was inseparable from the sustained performance of its digital services, Livin’ by Mandiri and Kopra by Mandiri, which continued to record increased usage. Beyond driving digital transaction growth, the rising number of users on both platforms has also strengthened financial literacy and expanded access to technology-based financial services. This aligns with Danantara’s vision of ensuring state assets are managed effectively, productively, and provide broader benefits to the Indonesian people. Novita added that the integrated synergy between the digital ecosystem and physical network enables customers to manage their finances comprehensively within a single service platform. The company also stated it will continue to strengthen its role as a strategic partner to the government through financing national priority programmes, including KUR, strengthening MSMEs and cooperatives, subsidised mortgages, and strategic sectors and downstream industries to drive job creation. “Through the integrated synergy of Bank Mandiri’s ecosystem connecting digital services, distribution networks, and productive financing, we are committed to remaining present for all levels of society and supporting inclusive and sustainable national economic growth,” Novita said.
