Bank Mandiri Launches Gold ATM Service
Public interest in owning gold continues to grow as people become more aware of the importance of building and preserving asset value over the long term. This has also increased demand for gold-investment services that are accessible, flexible and suited to individual customers’ means and needs.
In response, Bank Mandiri is making it easier to collect physical gold through its Gold ATM service, integrated with Livin’ by Mandiri. Customers with gold savings can use the service to withdraw gold in the form of bullion bars, complementing an investment experience that is increasingly accessible through digital services.
The innovation forms part of Bank Mandiri’s efforts to strengthen its bullion ecosystem after the company obtained a bullion-business licence from the Financial Services Authority (OJK). Bank Mandiri is Indonesia’s first conventional bank to receive a licence for gold services, reinforcing its commitment to widening public access to gold investment through integrated banking services.
Through the Gold ATM, customers with Gold Savings accounts can conveniently convert their digital gold balance into physical bullion according to their needs.
Midian Samosir, Bank Mandiri’s Regional CEO for Region V Jakarta 3, said Gold ATMs are now available at 28 locations across Indonesia. In Jakarta, Bogor and Depok, locations include Bank Mandiri’s Jakarta Sudirman, Jakarta Fatmawati and Jakarta Wisma Danantara Indonesia branches; Depok Margonda and Bogor Juanda branches; and its Jakarta Kota Kasablanka and Pondok Indah Mall 2 sub-branches.
“Through the Gold ATM, Bank Mandiri is providing a gold-investment experience that is not only easily accessible digitally, but also makes it convenient for customers to own gold in physical form. This innovation is part of our commitment to providing financial services that meet people’s needs while expanding access to gold investment,” Midian said in an official statement on Thursday (15 October 2026).
To use the service, customers with Gold Savings accounts open the ‘Collect Gold’ menu in the Livin’ by Mandiri app, select the ATM collection option and scan the QR code on the machine. They then follow the on-screen instructions to choose a gold denomination and enter a verification code before collecting the physical gold and transaction receipt. Bullion can also be collected through designated branches.
The Gold ATM is part of Bank Mandiri’s gold services, integrated into the Livin’ by Mandiri super-app. Customers can use a single app to open a Gold Savings account, buy and sell gold, access instalment facilities and collect physical gold. Digital transactions are available in real time, 24 hours a day, giving customers flexibility to manage their gold holdings.
Customers can start investing in Gold Savings with an initial deposit of 0.02 gram, worth approximately Rp50,000, with products available from established brands including ANTAM Logam Mulia and HRTA GOLD Emasku. Subsequent purchases can be made from 0.005 gram, or about Rp10,000, allowing investments to be tailored to customers’ financial means.
Customers can also buy and sell gold in real time and monitor price movements directly through the app. This allows them to manage their gold investments on one digital platform without switching between applications.
For customers seeking to build their gold holdings through instalments, Bank Mandiri offers KSM Emas (Kredit Serbaguna Mandiri Emas). The facility provides low interest rates and competitive instalments, with the gold price locked at the time of application. Once the instalments are paid off, the gold can be added to the customer’s Gold Savings balance and subsequently traded or collected in physical form.
As of August 2026, Livin’ by Mandiri had 42.1 million registered users. The figure provides a foundation for the bank to expand the reach of its financial services, including gold investment.
Bank Mandiri is preparing further innovations to complete its bullion ecosystem, including Multiguna Emas, which will enable cash loans secured by gold; Autodebet Emas, to support regular investing; and gold transfers between Livin’ users.
“We hope these innovations will encourage people to build assets gradually and support the strengthening of the national bullion ecosystem, in line with Bank Mandiri’s commitment to ‘Grow Together, Advance Indonesia’,” Midian said.
