Bank Mandiri Distributes Thousands of Book Packages through Mandiri Cares for Schools
In the spirit of National Education Day and as a manifestation of Mandiri Sharing Goodness, Bank Mandiri has taken concrete steps to support the creation of superior human resources (HR) through the Mandiri Cares for Schools programme. This programme forms part of the company’s commitment to strengthening more equitable access to education across various regions of Indonesia.
Through the initiative titled “Buku Mandiri untuk Negeri”, Bank Mandiri has distributed more than 2,800 aid packages consisting of books and school bags to primary, secondary, and high school students or equivalents in several cities/districts, including Rantau Parapat, Palembang, Depok, Bogor, Bandung, Balikpapan, Keerom Regency, and other cities.
Bank Mandiri’s Corporate Secretary, Adhika Vista, stated that this programme reflects the company’s sustainable commitment to promoting improvements in national education quality. For more than two decades, Bank Mandiri has been present in the midst of society, continuously striving to contribute as a driver of the nation’s ecosystem in producing Indonesia’s golden generation.
“Bank Mandiri believes that access to adequate educational facilities is an important foundation in creating superior HR,” said Adhika in his official statement, quoted on Saturday (9/5/2026).
He added that through this programme, the company hopes to provide tangible support for students’ learning processes in various regions, in line with efforts to promote equitable education quality.
Therefore, each package distributed is equipped with learning support materials, such as notebooks and writing instruments, to optimally support students’ learning activities as part of the company’s commitment to Serving Wholeheartedly.
As part of the Mandiri Cares for Schools series: Buku Mandiri Untuk Negeri, in March 2026 Bank Mandiri also distributed 2,000 school packages in Lombok.
This programme also complements various Bank Mandiri initiatives in the education sector that have been implemented sustainably. To create a comfortable learning environment, Bank Mandiri has renovated 27 schools in 27 cities/districts in Indonesia.
The renovations include improvements to basic facilities, classroom painting, sanitation enhancements, and the provision of learning facilities. In addition, Bank Mandiri has introduced reading corners in 27 schools to encourage student literacy.
In the field of HR development, the company has provided 267 scholarships to university students in Indonesia. This step is part of the commitment to creating superior generations sustainably.
Not only that, Bank Mandiri has also distributed more than 26,000 school bag packages on various occasions. The aid includes distributions for disaster-affected areas in Sumatra, the 2026 Ramadan programme, and deliveries in several operational regions.
Looking ahead, Bank Mandiri will continue to strengthen its role as a strategic partner to the government in building an inclusive and sustainable education ecosystem. The company is also committed to encouraging the emergence of superior generations capable of competing globally.
“As a development agent, Bank Mandiri is committed to continuously integrating social values into every company initiative,” Adhika concluded.
