Bank Mandiri has recorded the disbursement of Rp17.77 trillion in Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR) to 135,794 business operators throughout Indonesia as of 31 May 2026. This achievement demonstrates the sustainable excellence of Bank Mandiri’s micro business model, which focuses not only on financing growth but also on maintaining a healthy and resilient portfolio quality, said Bayu Trisno Arief Setiawan, SVP of Micro Development & Agent Banking at Bank Mandiri, in a statement in Jakarta on Monday. He noted that the realisation is equivalent to 43.34 per cent of Bank Mandiri’s KUR distribution target for 2026 and reflects accelerating growth in supporting the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as the backbone of the national economy. Bayu added that Bank Mandiri’s KUR distribution is always balanced with the application of prudential principles and optimal risk management, reflected in a non-performing loan (NPL) ratio of around 1 per cent. According to him, the success of KUR distribution is inseparable from the integrated synergy between the government, banks, business operators, and various stakeholders in driving the strengthening of the productive sector across different regions. Through broader access to capital, we aim to help business operators increase production capacity, expand marketing networks, and create new job opportunities that directly impact regional economies, Bayu stated. Of the total KUR distribution up to May 2026, 63.54 per cent, or Rp11.29 trillion, was channelled to the production sector, while 36.46 per cent, or Rp6.48 trillion, was allocated to the non-production sector. The dominance of the productive sector is in line with Bank Mandiri’s commitment to strengthening the foundation of the national economy through financing that provides a wider multiplier effect, he said. He continued that the agriculture sector was the largest contributor, with a distribution value reaching Rp5.82 trillion, or 32.77 per cent of the total KUR. This was followed by the production services sector at Rp3.86 trillion, or 21.72 per cent, the processing industry at Rp1.35 trillion, or 7.60 per cent, and the fisheries sector at Rp249 billion, or 1.41 per cent. To accelerate and maintain the quality of KUR distribution, Bank Mandiri is also strengthening its ecosystem-based financing strategy through a closed-loop approach connected to wholesale customers, production centres, and leading regional sectors. This strategy enables the creation of increasingly effective service ecosystem synergies between MSMEs, suppliers, distributors, aggregators, and off-takers within a mutually supportive business value chain. With increasingly strong service network support and a continuously developing business ecosystem, we are optimistic that KUR distribution can further accelerate the growth of the national productive sector, Bayu concluded.
