Bank Mandiri Disburses Rp 17.77 Trillion in KUR, Agriculture Sector Absorbs Largest Share
PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk has disbursed People’s Business Credit (KUR) amounting to Rp 17.77 trillion as of the end of May 2026. The financing has been received by 135,829 micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) players, with the agriculture sector being the largest recipient.
SVP Micro Development & Agent Banking Bank Mandiri, Bayu Trisno Arief Setiawan, stated that this realisation has reached 43.34 percent of Bank Mandiri’s KUR distribution target for the whole of 2026. According to him, the KUR distribution remains balanced with the application of the precautionary principle, so that the non-performing loan (NPL) ratio is maintained at around one percent.
“This achievement shows that Bank Mandiri’s micro business model not only focuses on financing growth, but also maintains portfolio quality to keep it healthy,” Bayu said in his statement on Monday (6/7/2026).
Of the total KUR distribution, Rp 11.29 trillion or 63.54 percent was channelled to the production sector. Meanwhile, the remaining Rp 6.48 trillion or 36.46 percent flowed to the non-production sector.
The agriculture sector became the largest KUR recipient with a value of Rp 5.82 trillion or 32.77 percent of the total distribution. Next, the production services sector amounted to Rp 3.86 trillion, the processing industry Rp 1.35 trillion, and the fisheries sector Rp 249 billion.
Bayu said KUR not only functions as business financing, but also as an instrument to expand MSME production capacity, create jobs, and encourage regional economic growth.
In addition to KUR, Bank Mandiri also distributes Housing Program Credit (KPP) to support the 3 Million Houses Programme. As of May 2026, the financing disbursed reached Rp 493.1 billion to 1,764 debtors. The credit is utilised by MSME players to buy, build, or renovate houses that support their business activities.
Cumulatively, since the KUR programme was launched in 2008 until May 2026, Bank Mandiri has disbursed financing of Rp 321.01 trillion to 3.72 million debtors throughout Indonesia.
According to Bayu, Bank Mandiri will continue to strengthen KUR distribution through ecosystem-based financing that connects MSMEs with suppliers, distributors, aggregators, and end buyers (off-takers). This strategy is expected to increase MSME productivity while strengthening the people’s economy.
