Bank Lampung's Strategy to Boost MSME Credit Growth
Bank Lampung, or the Regional Development Bank of Lampung, continues to accelerate MSME credit growth. By the end of 2026, Bank Lampung is targeting double-digit credit growth.
Bank Lampung President Director Indra Merviana explained that lending is currently still dominated by the consumer segment, with a share reaching 73%, while the productive segment has only reached 27%.
“That is our homework. We are shifting towards productive lending. We are preparing micro KUR, commercial working models, and MSMEs, including supply chain financing,” Indra said at the Regional Bank Summit 2026 Batch 2, ‘BPD Strategy to Encourage Regional Economic Independence’, on Friday (28/8/2026).
Meanwhile, the sectors being targeted are agriculture and the remainder for the trade sector. According to him, the agriculture sector is a work programme of the governor and regional government.
“For the sector, the highest is in line with the governor’s and regional government’s work programme, namely agriculture, which has reached almost 30%, 28%,” Indra explained.
Indra said the MSME sector in Lampung still has resilience and flexibility amid various economic challenges. He cited examples of MSMEs including cassava processing, coffee, maize, fisheries, and staple goods trading.
“So demand remains relatively stable. Whatever the economic conditions, they can still withstand the cycle,” he stressed.
