Banjarmasin - Bank Kalsel continues to expand financial service access for the public by operating 968 Agen Laku Pandai (Branchless Financial Services for Financial Inclusion) agents spread throughout South Kalimantan. “We continue to bring banking services closer to rural areas,” said Bank Kalsel’s President Director Fachrudin in Banjarmasin on Sunday. Fachrudin stated that achieving 968 active agents is part of Bank Kalsel’s broader strategy to support the government’s mission and the Financial Services Authority (OJK) regarding equitable financial access. “This is a manifestation of Bank Kalsel’s consistency in ensuring that financial services can be accessed by all segments of society, including areas far from bank branches,” he emphasised. With an increasing number of active agent points, opportunities for people in remote areas to manage finances digitally become faster, easier, and more convenient, and are expected to shield the public from illegal financial practices while driving local economic growth through more efficient transactions. Bank Kalsel’s Agen Laku Pandai agents are named ADINK (Agen Digital Inklusif Keuangan). The presence of ADINK serves as an extension of the bank to provide basic banking services to the public, allowing transactions without the need for long journeys to branches. Some of the main services available to the public through ADINK agents include opening savings accounts, real-time cash deposits and withdrawals, bill payments (electricity, water, taxes, and others), and inter-account fund transfers.
