Bank Jatim Launches Latest Version of JConnect, Here Are Its Advantages
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Bank Jatim has reaffirmed its commitment to digital transformation through the Pre-Event Launch of JConnect, its latest digital banking application designed to provide seamless connectivity for customers.
Bank Jatim’s President Director, Winardi Legowo, explained that innovation is the lifeblood of Bank Jatim.
According to him, Bank Jatim’s digital transformation began in 2016 with the launch of Bank Jatim Mobile Banking. In line with evolving customer needs and the drive to deliver closer and more integrated services, a rebranding to JConnect was undertaken in 2021.
This rebranding was more than just a name change; it represented the company’s commitment to delivering boundless connectivity for the people of East Java and Indonesia.
“Today, Bank Jatim officially introduces the latest version of JConnect. The development of this application is entirely based on the voice of customers, namely the aspirations and direct needs of our customers. JConnect comes with 36 new, more advanced features as an initial step towards Bank Jatim’s grand vision of building an integrated Super App,” Winardi emphasised in a written statement on Monday (20/4/2026).
Some standout features of JConnect include biometric login, integrated portfolio, comprehensive e-wallet top-ups (OVO, GoPay, DANA, and e-money), online complaint handling for service transparency, card management for independent debit card control, scheduled transfers for automated routine transactions, and personalised theme changes with colour options of red (energetic and spirited), green (calm and harmonious), and yellow (optimistic and cheerful).
Winardi explained that the number of registered JConnect users currently stands at around 1,025,000. “With the launch of this latest version, Bank Jatim targets significant growth to reach 2 million registered users by December 2026,” he clarified.
Held in Surabaya’s Old City, the Pre-Event Launch of JConnect, themed Road to JConnect Zone, was attended by Bank Jatim’s President Director Winardi Legowo, IT, Digital & Operations Director Wiweko Probojakti, Micro Business, Retail & Sharia Business Director Tonny Prasetyo, Finance, Treasury & Global Services Director RM Wahyu Kusumo Wisnubroto, and Compliance Director Umi Rodiyah on Saturday (18/4).
As the pinnacle of the JConnect innovation series, Bank Jatim will host the Grand Launching event titled JConnect Zone from 1-3 May 2026 at Grand City Surabaya. This event is designed to provide customers with hands-on experiences through JConnect app activations and QRIS transactions with various partner merchants.
JConnect Zone will feature various engaging activities, including interactive zones and digital banking experiences, collaborations with MSMEs and leading lifestyle merchants, exclusive promotions for JConnect users, digital literacy talkshows and workshops, entertainment from local and national artists, and public services such as vehicle tax payments and free medical check-ups. “The three-day event is free to the public. All members of society are welcome to join and liven up JConnect Zone,” Winardi explained.
JConnect is intended for all customer segments, from retail and MSMEs to corporates. The application is designed to be user-friendly for both digital-native younger generations and people in areas with limited access to physical banking services.
“Our hope is that JConnect becomes the primary digital banking platform for Bank Jatim customers. Not just as a transaction tool, but also as a financial solution that helps society achieve their financial goals,” Winardi concluded.
