Bank Jateng is the healthiest bank throughout Indonesia, stated Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi in a written statement on Friday, 27 February 2026.

Luthfi made the remarks whilst chairing the Bank Jateng Annual General Meeting of Shareholders for the 2025 financial year at Bhimasena Hall, the bank’s headquarters on Pemuda Street in Semarang.

The operating profit was subsequently distributed in the form of dividends and general reserves to strengthen the capital structure. Dividends were provided to shareholders, namely the Central Java Provincial Government and all Municipal/District Governments across Central Java.

As the controlling shareholder, Luthfi requested the Bank Jateng board of directors to continue improving performance and targets in 2026. He also highlighted the bank’s role in corporate social responsibility programmes, poverty alleviation and disaster relief efforts, as well as other strategic government programmes.

“Central Java is extremely attractive as a centre for national development. I want the cohesion amongst our colleagues (regents and mayors) to be maintained and preserved,” he said.

Central Java Provincial Regional Secretary Sumarno, who also serves as chairman of Bank Jateng’s board of commissioners, added that Bank Jateng maintained its healthy bank status throughout 2025. He assessed that the Bank Jateng board of directors had managed the company well.

“This is demonstrated by business performance achievements including total assets reaching Rp100.066 trillion and other achievements such as third-party funds and credit growth being quite positive. Of course, also with operating profit of Rp1.871 trillion (before tax),” he said.

Meanwhile, Bank Jateng Chief Executive Officer Irianto Harko Saputro stated that the Central Java economy continues to grow amid global conditions. He noted that Bank Jateng’s net profit of Rp1.4 trillion grew 11.57 per cent compared to 2024.

“Bank Jateng’s assets have also now broken through the Rp100 trillion mark this year. Hopefully Bank Jateng will grow even larger and expand,” he said.
