Semarang — PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah (BPD) Jawa Tengah, commonly known as Bank Jateng, recorded impressive performance in 2025, with operating profit of IDR 1.4 trillion for the year.

Chief Executive Officer of Bank Jateng, Irianto Harko Saputro, stated in Semarang on Friday that this profit figure represents the largest among all Regional Development Banks throughout Indonesia (BPDSI), making Bank Jateng the healthiest regional development bank in the nation.

According to him, the economy in Central Java continues to grow despite challenging global economic conditions. The bank’s net profit of IDR 1.4 trillion grew 11.57 per cent compared to 2024.

“Bank Jateng’s assets have also surpassed IDR 100 trillion this year for the first time. Hopefully Bank Jateng will continue to grow larger and develop,” he said.

Meanwhile, Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi, acting as controlling shareholder, requested that Bank Jateng’s board of directors continue to improve performance and targets for 2026. This includes fulfilling corporate social responsibility, poverty alleviation and disaster relief programmes, as well as other strategic government programmes.

“Central Java is very attractive as a centre for national development. I want to maintain and preserve the unity of our regional leaders,” he said.

Governor Luthfi chaired the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPST) of Bank Jateng for the 2025 financial year at Bhimasena Hall at Bank Jateng’s head office in Semarang.

Operating profit was distributed in the form of dividends and general reserves to strengthen the capital structure. Dividends were distributed to shareholders, namely the Central Java Provincial Government and local governments throughout Central Java.

Central Java Provincial Secretary and Board of Commissioners Chair of Bank Jateng, Sumarno, stated that Bank Jateng maintained its status as a healthy bank throughout 2025. He noted that the bank’s board of directors successfully managed the company well, as evidenced by achieving assets valued at IDR 100.066 trillion, along with strong performance in third-party funds and credit portfolio. The bank also achieved operating profit of IDR 1.871 trillion before tax.
