Republika.co.id, Jakarta — Bank Jakarta has won the Indonesia Best Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the Banking Sector 2026 award at the 8th Anniversary Indonesia Best CSR Awards 2026, organised by The Iconomics in Jakarta on Wednesday, 21 May 2026. The award recognises contributions and execution of corporate social responsibility and social and environmental responsibility programs that are deemed to have a significant impact on society.

Bank Jakarta’s President Director Agus H Widodo said the award is a form of appreciation for the company’s commitment to implementing CSR and TJSL in a sustainable manner.

‘The execution of Bank Jakarta’s CSR/TJSL is part of the implementation of the Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) principles, adoption of good corporate governance, and support for development in Jakarta,’ Agus said in a statement.

He explained that Bank Jakarta’s CSR/TJSL programs have so far focused on education, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), environment, sanitation, health, and community empowerment. In 2025, a number of programs had been realised and are considered to have had a direct impact on the community.

One of the programs implemented is the construction of a communal septic tank installation based on biogas or biodigester in the Pekayon, Pasar Rebo area, East Jakarta. The environmentally friendly sanitation program is said to be part of the company’s efforts to support sustainable urban development.

In addition, Bank Jakarta also channelled training support assistance for disabled friends under the care of the Indonesia Disabled Solidarity Foundation (YaSDI). The assistance was provided as support for improving skills and economic independence of people with disabilities.

Separately, Bank Jakarta’s Corporate Secretary Arie Rinaldi emphasised that the company would continue to enhance its social contributions through various sustainable CSR/TJSL programs that have a direct impact on society.

‘Bank Jakarta will continue to implement CSR/TJSL that directly impacts development in Jakarta and increases community empowerment,’ Arie said.
