Bank Jakarta Wins Indonesia's Best CSR Award in the Bank Sector 2026
Bank Jakarta has won the Indonesia’s Best CSR Award in the Bank Sector 2026 at the 8th Anniversary Indonesia Best CSR Awards 2026, organised by The Iconomics in Jakarta on 21 May 2026. The award was presented to Bank Jakarta for the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility/Social and Environmental Responsibility initiatives throughout 2025, and for their significant impact on the community.
Bank Jakarta’s President Director, Agus H. Widodo, in a written statement expressed thanks to The Iconomics for the award and dedicated it to all stakeholders. ‘The implementation of CSR/TJSL by Bank Jakarta is part of the Environmental, Social, Governance principles and the application of corporate governance, and is conducted to support development in Jakarta,’ Agus said.
Furthermore, Agus noted that Bank Jakarta’s CSR/TJSL programme focuses on Education, SMEs, Environment, Sanitation, Health and Community Empowerment. During 2025, Bank Jakarta implemented a number of CSR/TJSL community programmes with direct impact on residents. One example is the Environmentally Friendly Sanitation Programme realised through the construction of a Communal Septic Tank Installation with Biogas Utilisation (Biogas Digester) in the Pekayon, Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta area in 2025.
Most recently, Bank Jakarta provided support for training for friends with disabilities under the Yayasan Solidaritas Difabel Indonesia (YaSDI). This assistance forms part of Bank Jakarta’s commitment to enhance skills, economic empowerment, and the employability of people with disabilities in the labour market.
In a separate statement, Corporate Secretary of Bank Jakarta, Arie Rinaldi, said that Bank Jakarta continues to increase its positive contribution to society through CSR/TJSL programmes on a sustainable basis. ‘Bank Jakarta will continue to implement CSR/TJSL with direct impact on development in Jakarta, which is expected to improve empowerment of the community,’ Arie concluded.
